My Jason Wu for Target order arrived last week – while I was confined to bed with bronchitis.

I was so excited when I was well enough to open them up and take a closer look:

Jason Wu for Target® Short-Sleeve Tee with Cat Print.
I’m a sucker for anything with a cat print, so I had to get this cat print shirt. The material is a lot thinner than I thought it would be. It lends itself to a more polished outfit than your standard t-shirt material. Needless to say I love the sketched cat design on the front.

I saw this online before the collection was released. It was the one piece that really jumped out at me more than any of the other pieces, next to the Flared Dress in Cream with Black Patent Belt which I was sadly unsuccessful in acquiring. (I also wanted the White Cat Printed Scarf, but it was sold out, too.)

The blouse’s material is super-duper sheer. Like, ‘Hey, you might want to make sure your lady parts aren’t showing before you leave the house’ sheer. Despite this, it is a pretty shirt and I’m glad I got it. It’s very dressy, and I love the clean, whimsical look of the white blouse paired with the black bow at the neck.
I’m really happy with the pieces I got. Did you purchase anything from the Jason Wu For Target collection? Even if you didn’t, what were your favorite pieces? Let me know in the comments!
The t-shirt looks like a nightie to me.
The blouse is quite a common ~French smock style; it makes me think of both Clara Bow & cloche hats, as well as perhaps Brigitte Bardot & early 1960s French things. Le Chat Noir is such an iconic print it might just be that association.
The square scarf you’d wear in a French knot has the same vibe. I don’t know Wu’s designs, but Target must have paid him a lot to risk damaging his brand, but I guess Stella McCartney did it first!
I saw advertising the other way for Dita von Teese knickers etc at Target, so I guess they’re trying to change their image? I don’t see that happening.
